OMAS Lymm

A day out in one of Cheshire's best-loved villages.

Welcome to Lymm

A day out in one of Cheshire's best-loved villages.

OMAS lives in Lymm, and the village is half the fun. Inside there's cooking and baking, arts and crafts, music and plenty of good company. Outside there's the Bridgewater Canal, the woodland walk round Lymm Dam and a cuppa by the old Cross.

It's fully accessible, there's a hot meal every day, and if the day gets a bit much, there's a quiet sensory room to take a breather.

Life in Lymm village

A village made for a good day out.

Lymm is one of Cheshire's best-loved villages, and it's right on our doorstep. The canal winds through the middle, there's a lake with a woodland walk, and the old sandstone Cross sits at the heart of it all.

A walk round Lymm Dam

A lake with a woodland path and boardwalk all the way round, and benches for a breather. Go as far as you fancy.

Along the Bridgewater Canal

Narrowboats, ducks and a flat towpath that's easy on the legs, right through the middle of the village.

A cuppa in the village

Cafés and little shops around the old Cross and stocks. Somewhere to sit, people-watch and have a natter.

Nature on the doorstep

Herons, ducks and the odd cormorant at the Dam. Bring a flask and see who spots one first.

Questions

Quick answers

If your question isn't here, give us a ring. No pressure, just a conversation.

Talk to us
Can I try OMAS before deciding?

Absolutely, and we'd encourage it. Pop in for a cuppa and a look around, then book a taster day to see what a real day feels like.

How do people get to OMAS?

However suits you best: family drop-off and collection, travelling independently, or arranged transport. Pick-up and drop-off options are available in some areas, so just ask.

What does a day cost?

We'll talk you through the daily fee before anyone starts: what's included (meals, refreshments and activities) and anything extra, like arranged transport or special outings. No surprises.

How can a place be funded?

Some people pay privately. Others use Direct Payments, a Personal Budget or Local Authority funding. Not sure which applies to you? Ask us and we'll explain the options.

Do you offer care at home as well?

Yes. The family behind OMAS also runs True Care 247, a CQC-registered home care service across Altrincham, Trafford and Cheshire. If someone needs support at home too, it can come from people who already know them.

Who can make a referral?

Anyone. Families, carers and professionals such as social workers or case managers all refer to us, and you're very welcome to get in touch for yourself.

Come and see Lymm for yourself.

No pressure. Just a cuppa and a conversation, then maybe a stroll round the Dam.
